GI earthing strips for earth and lightning networks

GI earthing strips for earth networks and lightning conductors, supplied from Jaipur against section, coating, route and joint requirements.

What should you know about gi earthing strips for earth and lightning networks?

GI earthing strip carries current between equipment, electrodes and bonding points when the approved design specifies galvanized construction.

3E supplies GI strips as part of its earthing and lightning range. Section size, coating, bends, joints and route length belong on the schedule, a bare request for GI patti is not enough.

01

Conventional lightning example

25 x 3 mm GI strip where the approved roof design calls for it

02

Eurostar ESE down-conductor option

25 x 3 mm Cu/GI strip in the supplied installation schedule

03

JVVNL electrode examples

25 x 6 mm or 50 x 6 mm GI inner strip for specified approved models

How is GI strip size selected?

Duty comes first. The conductor section follows fault or lightning current requirements, route conditions and the applicable design, so matching the visible width alone can hide the wrong thickness.

Where do strip routes fail?

Joints deserve suspicion. Abrupt bends, damaged coating, loose hardware and inaccessible test links can weaken an otherwise sound route long before the straight strip shows trouble.

Which GI strip details need confirmation?

Several documented systems use different strip sections. Quote the actual duty instead of borrowing a size from a nearby drawing.

Where is GI strip used?

Use the application to settle the duty, material, dimensions and evidence required in the offer.

  1. 01

    Equipment earthing

Main and branch earth conductors for panels, machinery and structural bonding.

  2. 02

    Conventional lightning protection

Roof and parapet conductor networks where 25 x 3 mm GI is specified.

  3. 03

    Electrode construction

Inner conductors for named SIP, gel-earthing and utility-approved models.

What should be clear before you proceed?

Is 25 x 3 mm GI strip suitable for every earth?

No. It is a documented lightning-conductor example, not a universal earth-network size. The approved design controls the section.

Do strip bends and joints need a schedule?

Yes. Count real route changes, clamps, test points and coating repairs before ordering the straight length.

Can GI strip be joined to copper?

Only through an approved transition suited to the exposure. An improvised wet joint invites galvanic corrosion and deserves no place underground.

Need a GI strip schedule priced?

Send the section, route length, coating requirement, fittings and delivery location. A marked drawing is better than a rounded metre count.
